Homely Double Room - SociableFlatShare Brixton

Hey everyone!

We are looking for someone to take Sam's lovely double room here in Brixton as he is moving in with his gf. Have a read and let us know if you fancy coming for a viewing!

The Room:
The room on offer is a double room with double bed . It has a lovely view of the green. It's fully furnished with a double bed, wardrobe etc.

The flat:
- Hyperion House is at the top of Brixton Hill next to a green space - we have green on both sides of the building. The front door is on the other side, on the 1st floor (4 steps up) along a causeway/balcony. This overlooks the shared community space and garden which the block tends to regularly so it's a nice, isolated space - very safe.
It has a shared bathroom with a shower on the top floor where all the bedrooms are located. On the bottom floor is a spare bathroom, the kitchen with all the usual appliances (flame hobs, dishwasher, washing machine, big fridge freezer etc.) and a large living room with a table that can sit 10 comfortably, a sofa and large TV. We share the living room for movie/boardgame nights, the odd dinner/roast and for working from home during the day. It's very much a shared space and home.

Transport:
Brixton Tube station - 15 mins walk, 5 mins bus
Brockwell Park - 10 mins walk
Streatham Hill - 15 mins walk, 5 mins bus
We are also bike friendly and have space to lock up bikes outside.

Us / Working arrangements:
I'm Hamish and i've lived in the flat since June 2022. I work about half and half from home and in the office, but quite flexibly. I'm 32 and like swimming, cycling, climbing and travelling, and then also enjoy a beer, festival and music.
Sophia and Michael are a couple. Michael wfh most days, Sophia is currently looking for work, doing the odd contract here and there. They just moved back from Australia where they have lived for 11 years (Michael is Aussie, Sophia British) They are both 31 and have a lot of the same interests (especially the blues nights / comedy clubs nearby).
The house has always been a friendly, welcoming and warm space. We're all very respectful and open to all types of people that have these same liberal and welcoming values. We are looking to fill his room with someone that is relaxed, fun-loving and welcoming - ideally someone that we can get on with.

The best bit: I have a cat (Lida) and her kitten Wyblie who are very sweet and friendly. They never ever scratch beyond playful wrestling. Lida had 6 kittens in June, and we kept the cutest, Wyblie, so they have a lovely bond. Lida and Wyblie has since both been neutered. To each their own of course but it might not be a great fit if you are anti-cats as they will pester you for cuddles.

We are a sociable house, so we spend a lot of time catching up with friends. We have people over for dinner every now and then and also enjoy going out to festivals, dance events and days in Brockwell Park with a beer and a ball. We also all have travelled quite a lot.
